Mamet

He starts the article explaining how some architect don't care much about the main reason of a building, (that is to give shelter, and that is a building that will not fall on top of you) they only care about how is going to look, in other word they are selfish about the outcome. The he gives an example of how the audience of a movie don't care about the little details that the director will, the audience just watches the main plot of the movie, they don't care about the sign that is on top of the door. This is called Human Perception , the emotion of knowing what will happen next. An example is when you are in a theater and the curtains goes up, you know that something is starting, that the play is about to start. As humans we don't like stuff that are random or jump from scene to another weird scene, there has to be a flow. Also the pictures or the movie has to get more and more interesting so the audience still interested and not leave. The author was talking with anger all along the article, but I really like it because it shows how much it bothers him. Humans also like that the problem has a resolution or a way of ending the things, because that's the "way" it suppose to be.

Rhetoric as Love

This article was really hard and confusing to understand, at first I could follow up what the author was saying but then I got lost inside his words. The author is interest of how people express their feelings towards something. Mostly when the two parties don't agree on the subject. Everyone is a historian or a fictionmakers or that "each of us is a narrative" because we tell everyone what we think or the side of the story we only like, we only tell everyone what we think is important, but for other people what we left out it could be important but that doesn't matter to us. That's why the author says that we are fictionamkers because we don't say the whole truth. The author talks about two ways to argue, well actually three but I don't remember how are they called, but on the thrid one when you arguing you have to show LOVE, so our oppononent sees that we are vulnerable and personal at the same time.The first way to argue is by telling all the things that your opponent is wrong and maybe saying somethin little of how they can be correct (but its has to be minimum) and then saying a big list of how they are wrong again and leave without knowing what the other person has to say. The second type of argument is showing the background and the thesis, then saying the things that are worng but the saying what the other person ahs right. But when you do something like that, the two opposite parties have to agree on something, sacrificing something they both like. I really liek this article because at first I didn't understand it, and then how the author showed how humans argue for reals.

This article is mainly about plagiarism and the web. The article is written for the teachers, so they can educate their students about the topic of plagiarism and help them not to plagiarized in their future assignments. Students have a lot of reasons of why they plagiarized in their papers even do they know they are doing something wrong, but when they are doing. the student doesn't care. The word "Patchwriting" is like covering a hole like a patch does, but for the student he feels that he didn't covered anything, in the English language is called Paraphrasing

The Temptation of Plagiarism

    When I see the word "Plagiarism", I always related with the word plague and I really don't have a reason why, but when I look at the two words there is something related to it. When you do plagiarism you are copying  the work from someone else, and a plague is the same sickness in everybody, so the meaning of both words are not far apart. The temptation of plagiarism came one day to my mind when my teacher return us our rough draft, the only thing I saw on my paper was red markings about my grammar and misspellings, so when I return to my house, I told my sister to write again the paper.
