I really like this video, it was short and straight to the point. I knew what it wanted to say since the beginning. The author wants to tell us that everyone knows how everyone gives a presentation, and the video is almost an EXACT replica of how everyone gives presentation, even included the random joke in the beginning, the dramatic title, and the technical difficulties. The author of the video wants to tell us that everything would be better if we learn how to communicate, and how to give a good presentation. Students have to learn how to make a better presentation and avoid stuff that are typical or things that everyone uses. Communicate Better that's what the video is all about.m I strongly agree with the video because I really felt that I could relate to it.
I think that everyone that is a student should watch the video to learn "What not to do in a presentation"

Mamet
He starts the article explaining how some architect don't care much about the main reason of a building, (that is to give shelter, and that is a building that will not fall on top of you) they only care about how is going to look, in other word they are selfish about the outcome. The he gives an example of how the audience of a movie don't care about the little details that the director will, the audience just watches the main plot of the movie, they don't care about the sign that is on top of the door. This is called Human Perception , the emotion of knowing what will happen next. An example is when you are in a theater and the curtains goes up, you know that something is starting, that the play is about to start. As humans we don't like stuff that are random or jump from scene to another weird scene, there has to be a flow. Also the pictures or the movie has to get more and more interesting so the audience still interested and not leave. The author was talking with anger all along the article, but I really like it because it shows how much it bothers him. Humans also like that the problem has a resolution or a way of ending the things, because that's the "way" it suppose to be.

Rhetoric as Love
This article was really hard and confusing to understand, at first I could follow up what the author was saying but then I got lost inside his words. The author is interest of how people express their feelings towards something. Mostly when the two parties don't agree on the subject. Everyone is a historian or a fictionmakers or that "each of us is a narrative" because we tell everyone what we think or the side of the story we only like, we only tell everyone what we think is important, but for other people what we left out it could be important but that doesn't matter to us. That's why the author says that we are fictionamkers because we don't say the whole truth. The author talks about two ways to argue, well actually three but I don't remember how are they called, but on the thrid one when you arguing you have to show LOVE, so our oppononent sees that we are vulnerable and personal at the same time. The first way to argue is by telling all the things that your opponent is wrong and maybe saying somethin little of how they can be correct (but its has to be minimum) and then saying a big list of how they are wrong again and leave without knowing what the other person has to say. The second type of argument is showing the background and the thesis, then saying the things that are worng but the saying what the other person ahs right. But when you do something like that, the two opposite parties have to agree on something, sacrificing something they both like. I really liek this article because at first I didn't understand it, and then how the author showed how humans argue for reals.

It wasn’t me, was it?” Plagiarism and the web
This article is mainly about plagiarism and the web. The article is written for the teachers, so they can educate their students about the topic of plagiarism and help them not to plagiarized in their future assignments. Students have a lot of reasons of why they plagiarized in their papers even do they know they are doing something wrong, but when they are doing. the student doesn't care. The word "Patchwriting" is like covering a hole like a patch does, but for the student he feels that he didn't covered anything, in the English language is called Paraphrasing

The Temptation of Plagiarism
When I see the word "Plagiarism", I always related with the word plague and I really don't have a reason why, but when I look at the two words there is something related to it. When you do plagiarism you are copying the work from someone else, and a plague is the same sickness in everybody, so the meaning of both words are not far apart. The temptation of plagiarism came one day to my mind when my teacher return us our rough draft, the only thing I saw on my paper was red markings about my grammar and misspellings, so when I return to my house, I told my sister to write again the paper.

Revision Strategies of Student Writers and Experienced Adults
In my opinion the title says everything. The author wants to know about the difference between students and young adults when it comes to revision, and what are the steps that each one of them do in the process of revision. the purpose of this is to show the reader to revise properly your documents and not do the same mistake as a student. The revision needs to be since the beginning, at the moment you start writing, that's were the revision needs to be made. The author made a study with twenty freshmen at Boston University and the University of Oklahoma with SAT verbal scores ranging in 450 to 600 in their first semester of English and composition, and twenty experience adults writers from Boston and Oklahoma city that includes journalists, editors, and academics, and each one of them had to write three essays with their rough drafts (almost like four times). Revision is defined in many ways, students define revision not as a word they used but as a word their teachers used, some of the definitions are scratch out and do it over again, reviewing, redoing, marking out, and slashing and throwing out. They think is a rewording activity but on the contrary, revision is deletion, substitution, addition, and reordering. The four levels of revision are word, phrase, sentence, and theme. In my opinion I think the author learn how students use revision when doing a paper, and how experience writers do it, but I also think that there should be something to help the teachers and the students understand the truth meaning of revision.

Responding to Student Writing
The author of this article is trying to know how students find it so hard to understand the feedback that the teachers gave them in their assignments such as essays. But also helping the reader to evaluate what they have written. He is also trying to convince the teachers to help the students not confusing them when they are making corrections in the rough draft. When the teachers write comments on the essays is important because the writer knows his mistakes and the stuff that went wrong, but what the article is saying is that the teachers make it very confusing. The author really wanted to know why this issue affected the students and if it was really the teachers fault. They make an experiment by using thirty-five teachers at New York University and the University of Oklahoma and their students, but the teachers graded the first and second rough draft of the essays. But to make the experiment even better the students also had to write an essay on a computer and they used a program called "Writer's Workbench", that could scan the essay more quickly. The hard part was that the teachers were the ones that confuse the poor students with their mean comments and comments that destroy the whole point of the essay. Appropriate in text means that the teacher wants to take away with her comments from the original purpose or idea, and of course, she doesn't see the whole idea. What the author learn on this study was that the teachers doesn't help them a lot with their commentaries, but in defense the teachers say that they need workshops to learn. The students need to learn to interpret the teachers commentaries so they can make the correct corrections and the students don't go away from his point of view. Correction by the teacher on the firsts drafts are good for the students as long what they are writing is coherent, and they are just grammatical. I really agree with everything the author say because I am a student and I have felt very lost or confuse when a teacher comments me something that I don't know what she wants me to do. But know on I will try to put my ideas in a correct order and if a teacher makes me a correction be sure what she is talking about and that she is not going away from my idea.
